Softball Recap: Ida Baker Takes a Loss

Ida Baker fell victim to Mariner and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Mariner Tritons. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ida Baker dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mariner, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Ida Baker will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lehigh at 6:30 p.m. on March 24th. After both having extra time off, Mariner and Charlotte will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on March 26th. Mariner is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
