Soccer Game Preview: Foxborough vs. Sharon

The Foxborough Warriors will face off against the Sharon Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Foxborough took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Mansfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand the Hornets a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. The win was all the more spectacular given Foxborough's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Mansfield are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Sharon's offense. They lost 3-0 to Attleboro on Wednesday.

The victory made it two in a row for Foxborough and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for Sharon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-4.
