Duncan made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pima, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Duncan Wildkats were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over the Pima Roughriders on Friday. This was payback for the Wildkats, who suffered a 14-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Paisley Patton was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two triples, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sofia Harris, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI.

Duncan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pima only posted a batting average of .240.

Duncan's record now sits at 3-1. As for Pima, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Duncan will host Baboquivari at 3:45 p.m. on March 24th. Pima will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Willcox at 3:45 p.m. on March 25th.
