Softball Game Preview: Jackson Polar Bears vs. Steele Comets

The Jackson Polar Bears will head out to challenge the Steele Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

While Jackson's win against Twinsburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Polar Bears had just enough and edged out the Tigers 8-7.

Jackson let Abby Seders and Remi Grooms run wild. Seders went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Grooms went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. That's the most doubles Grooms has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kylie Kristoff, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Steele got the win against Olmsted Falls on Tuesday by a conclusive 8-2. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Jackson's record is now 18-4. As for Steele, their record now sits at 16-9.
