Baseball Recap: Colton Takes a Loss

Colton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-3 to the Kennedy Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Monday.

Colton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Weinberger, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. The Vikings are 2-1 when Weinberger posts two or more runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Zechariah Behrens also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Colton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Kennedy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-2.

While Colton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
