Soccer Game Preview: Springstead vs. Calvary Christian

The Springstead Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Calvary Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springstead's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Calvary Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Springstead's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Weeki Wachee. The result was nothing new for Springstead, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian lost 6-1 to Mitchell on Thursday. Calvary Christian have struggled against Mitchell recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Calvary Christian's goal came courtesy of Austin Potsic, who's now up to two this season.

The win made it two in a row for Springstead and bumps their season record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those two contests. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1.
