Bulls College Prep extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 8-9 in the process. They lost 18-3 to the Chicago Christian Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Bulls have lost by exactly 15 runs.
Mya Cruz was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
As for Chicago Christian, their win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-17. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25, 2024 (when they won 18-2).
On Chicago Christian's side, they let Brenna Schaafsma and Madi Hamilton run wild. Schaafsma got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Hamilton went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Schaafsma has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kayla Walters, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.
Bulls College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chicago Christian, they will challenge Marian Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
