Volleyball Recap: Riverside-Brookfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Riverside-Brookfield entered their match against Fenwick on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Friars by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Friars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Riverside-Brookfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Lucy Boyle paced Riverside-Brookfield's offense, picking up 16 kills. Boyle got some help from Claire Cameron and her 41 assists. Cameron also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ashlee Wudi, each putting up two.

Fenwick can attribute much of their success to SOPHIA LEONARDI, who had 15 digs and seven assists. That's the most digs LEONARDI has posted since back in September.

Riverside-Brookfield suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 15-10. As for Fenwick, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 20-10.

Riverside-Brookfield has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Leyden on the 16th. As for Fenwick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Loyola Academy on the 16th.
