Soccer Game Preview: Langston Hughes vs. McIntosh

The Langston Hughes Panthers will head out to square off against the McIntosh Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Langston Hughes has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while McIntosh will come in with three straight victories.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Langston Hughes' offense. They lost 11-0 to Northgate on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Langston Hughes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Northgate are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was McIntosh who was credited with the win on Friday.

McIntosh pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Langston Hughes, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
