Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Tech Dragons vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs

For the second straight game, Foothill Tech will face off against St. Bonaventure. The Dragons will face off against the Seraphs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Foothill Tech has won three straight at home, while St. Bonaventure won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.

Foothill Tech is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Bonaventure just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Seraphs by a score of 2-1.

For St. Bonaventure's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Bamieh, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Bamieh has posted since back in March.

St. Bonaventure hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothill Tech struck out seven times.

St. Bonaventure's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Foothill Tech, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 14-11.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Foothill Tech has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like St. Bonaventure struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
