Smithtown East posted their closest victory since December 15, 2025 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Northport Tigers 46-43. The 46-point effort marked the Bulls' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Smithtown East's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-4. As for Northport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Coincidentally, Smithtown East and Northport will both be playing Centereach the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulls will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
