Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). Everything went their way against the Reedley Pirates on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-7 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Cobian, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Donyae Thomas, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Edison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 3-9-1. As for Reedley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Edison wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-1 loss against Carson on the 15th. As for Reedley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-1 defeat against Hoover on the 15th.
