Softball Recap: Williamson Comes Up Short

Williamson lost against Troy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-6.

Williamson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenna Thomas, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Kaegen Short also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Williamson's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Troy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williamson will venture away from home to challenge Corning-Painted Post at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Troy, they will head out to take on Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
