Football Recap: Prosser Mustangs vs. West Valley Eagles

They and the West Valley Eagles were almost perfectly matched up on Saturday, but they suffered a 29-28 loss. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, Prosser still got an impressive performance from Jacob Rainer, who threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Rainer has posted since back in September. Landon Bailey was Rainer's top target, picking up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown.

With the loss, Prosser broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4. As for West Valley, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Prosser does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Valley, they will challenge Anacortes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Anacortes' defense has only allowed 7.4 points per game this season, so West Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
