Baseball Recap: Monarch Takes a Loss

Monarch lost against Chatfield back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Coyotes lost 11-4 to the Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Coyotes have lost by exactly seven runs.

Monarch got a good showing from Chase Knudsen, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Charlie Pearce made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. That run marked the first that he scored this season.

Monarch is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Chatfield, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monarch will take on Holy Family at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coyotes are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chatfield, they will challenge Arvada West at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
