Willingboro beats Burlington Township for their sixth straight win

Recap: Willingboro Chimeras vs. Burlington Township Falcons

The Willingboro Chimeras had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They really took it to Burlington Township for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-7 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Willingboro, who have now won five matches by 35 points or more so far this season.

Lamar Best continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 257 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt. Best's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. Willingboro also got a significant boost from Ray'mir Johnson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Despite the loss, Burlington Township still got an impressive performance from Quayd Hendryx, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Willingboro's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.8 points per game. As for Burlington Township, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Willingboro will be playing in front of their home fans against Monmouth Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monmouth Regional will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while Willingboro is ranked 44th). As for Burlington Township, they will head out on the road to face off against Delsea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
