Recap: Rivercrest Colts vs. Gravette Lions
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Rivercrest Colts walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 40-0 victory over the Lions on the road. Considering Rivercrest has won eight matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Koby Turner, who rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Turner's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
The win (which was Rivercrest's ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.33 points. As for Gravette, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Rivercrest will square off against Arkadelphia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Arkadelphia is ranked 42nd, while Rivercrest is ranked 29th). Gravette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
