Football Recap: Okolona Chieftains vs. Vardaman Rams
A win for Okolona just wasn't in the cards on Thursday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were dealt a 42-12 loss at the hands of the Vardaman Rams. The defeat continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.
Bryson Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Vardaman, rushing for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Bentley Hamilton, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Okolona's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Vardaman, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
