Basketball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Comes Up Short

Concordia Lutheran was the 61-53 winner over Legacy Prep Christian Academy when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Concordia Lutheran Crusaders came up short against the Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday, falling 81-57. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Concordia Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ghaven Mittal went 5 for 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for Mittal. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Coleman, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Concordia Lutheran's record now sits at 3-10. As for Legacy Prep Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Concordia Lutheran will head out to square off against Willis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Concordia Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season. As for Legacy Prep Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions challenge the Covenant Christian Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
