Football Recap: Notre Dame Falls Despite Big Games from Termaine Barr and Joe Capasso

Notre Dame and Darien squared off in some playoff action on Sunday, but Notre Dame had to settle for second. They took a hard 35-21 fall against the Darien Blue Wave. The Green Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Notre Dame had strong showings from Joe Capasso, who rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown, and Termaine Barr, who picked up 57 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards Barr has posted since back in October.

Notre Dame's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Darien, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Darien, they will take on New Canaan at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Canaan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Darien likes a good challenge.
