Baseball Game Preview: Carver Crusaders vs. Abington Green Wave

The Carver Crusaders will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Abington Green Wave at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Carver didn't have quite enough to beat Cohasset and fell 3-2.

Joseph Lavoie was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits.

At the plate, Carver saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levon Mulready, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Abington earned a 4-1 victory over Cardinal Spellman on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Carver beat Abington 15-10 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Green Wave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
