Basketball Game Preview: Crosshill Christian Eagles vs. Santiam Wolverines

The Crosshill Christian Eagles and the Santiam Wolverines will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Saturday, Crosshill Christian came up short against Weston-McEwen and fell 44-37. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the TigerScots are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Santiam beat Nestucca 46-37 on Monday. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by exactly nine points.

Santiam is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Crosshill Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.
