Odyssey Charter School suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 51-14 loss at the hands of Pine. While losing is never fun, Odyssey Charter School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while Pine is ranked 174th).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Odyssey Charter School struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Astronaut's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Rockledge 63-30. Astronaut was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-9.
Odyssey Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Astronaut, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-13.
Odyssey Charter School came up short against Astronaut in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 35-27. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Astronaut's Modiesty Walker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
