Softball Recap: Peabody Veterans Memorial Takes a Loss

If Peabody Veterans Memorial was feeling good fresh off their 18-6 takedown of Salem last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tanners took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marblehead Magicians on Friday. The Tanners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Magicians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Peabody Veterans Memorial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee DiNicola, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Peabody Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Marblehead, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Peabody Veterans Memorial will welcome Bishop Feehan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marblehead, they will head out to square off against Beverly at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
