Buena Park won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 57-36 to the Santa Fe Chiefs. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Buena Park lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kevin Garcia, who threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns. 86 of those passing yards were hauled in by Nicholas Zamora.

Devin Clark had an outrageously good game for Santa Fe as he rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns. Clark's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Lopez, who rushed for 41 yards.

Buena Park's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Santa Fe, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Buena Park will challenge Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Fe, they will take on Fullerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
