Softball Recap: Powdersville Wins Going Away Against Pendleton

Powdersville's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Pendleton Bulldogs as the Powdersville Patriots made off with an 11-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kylie Powell spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit. Those a hit gave her a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Lilee Lugo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Kaylie Evatt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

The win got Powdersville back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Powdersville will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Travelers Rest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pendleton, they will take on Mountain View Prep in a tournament on March 3rd.
