Soccer Recap: Elbert County Takes a Loss

Elbert County managed to slip by Rabun County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Devils lost 9-1 to the Wildcats on Friday. Elbert County's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Melanie Badillo, who's now up to three this season.

Elbert County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Rabun County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Coming up, Elbert County will head out on the road to challenge Commerce at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County's defense better be ready for this one: Commerce have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Rabun County, they have already played their next contest, a 7-0 defeat against Providence Christian Academy on the 10th.
