Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. Heritage Patriots

The Liberty Bison will face off against the Heritage Patriots at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Liberty: 3.2, Heritage: 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Liberty's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Pacifica. The Bison's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Not much got past Riley Vogt, who gave up just four hits to keep Pacifica off the board.

At the plate, Jake Feidner was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Austin Cholodenko was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Heritage has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Linfield Christian. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joaquin Estrada made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenton Jackson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
