Soccer Recap: Madeira Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Madeira walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mariemont Warriors on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for Madeira: when they faced off against Mariemont on October 7th, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.

Jean Luc Davis and Anderson Gable scored both of Madeira's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Madeira, bringing their record up to 13-5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matchups. As for Mariemont, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-3-1.

Looking ahead, Madeira will square off against Wyoming on Sunday. Mariemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
