Softball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Gahr

Gahr won the last time they faced Cerritos and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Gladiators were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Dons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gladiators.

Megan Wong was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Mya Laroya was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Wong wasn't the only one making solid contact: Gahr kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Gahr's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.5 runs. As for Cerritos, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Coming up, Gahr will welcome Millikan at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Gladiators' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cerritos, they will head out to square off against Oxford Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
