It was a good run, but The Plainfield Central Wildcats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 35-12 walloping at the hands of Joliet West. While losing is never fun, Plainfield Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Joliet West is ranked 109th).

Juan Rico was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 215 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Garcia did his part to keep the secondary busy, gaining 149 total yards.

Plainfield Central now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Joliet West, their victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
