Baseball Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington lost to Peyton on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-3. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burlington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Darian McDonough, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Peyton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Burlington has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 defeat against Akron on the 27th. As for Peyton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 win against St. Mary's on the 28th.
