Recap: Newark Norsemen vs. Princeton Tigers
On Saturday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Newark had to settle for a 52-49 loss against Princeton. Newark has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Princeton to victory were Camryn Driscoll and Keighley Davis. Driscoll dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Davis scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Driscoll is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Jesse, who scored six points along with three steals.
Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Princeton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
Newark will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Bede at 5:30 p.m. on December 26th. Princeton is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Morris at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th.
