Volleyball Recap: Heath Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Heath lost 3-0 to Bloom-Carroll. Heath has struggled against Bloom-Carroll recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-8.

Kylie Green paced Heath's offense, picking up five kills. Green got some help from Emma Moore and her seven assists. Finally, Marley Morris kept Heath's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Leading Bloom-Carroll to victory were Sienna Hogue and Kylynne Sollberger. Hogue had 16 digs and three aces, while Sollberger had 14 digs and two aces. Hogue has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Heath now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bloom-Carroll, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heath will square off against Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will take on Bishop Hartley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
