Soccer Recap: Weslaco Comes Up Short

Weslaco was the 6-1 winner over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Weslaco just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Diego Avalos, who's now up to four this season.

Weslaco now has a losing record of 6-7-4. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, with the win, they broke their eight-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

Weslaco didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 victory against Edinburg on the 13th. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Edinburg North on the 13th.
