North Stanly is a perfect 3-0 against Montgomery Central since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. The timing is sure in North Stanly's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Montgomery Central has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

North Stanly's tournament run continued when they took on Union Academy on Tuesday. The Comets took down the Cardinals 60-44.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Stanly to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexie Brown, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shy'Mani Baskins, who put up 16 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montgomery Central). They claimed a resounding 65-33 victory over Anson. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Montgomery Central back to even at 2-2. As for North Stanly, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

North Stanly didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Montgomery Central in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Timberwolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
