Baseball Recap: Hillel Academy Has No Trouble Against Aquinas Academy

After losing to Aquinas Academy the last time they met, Hillel Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hillel Academy Heat put the hurt on the Aquinas Academy Crusaders with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Heat.

Ezra Goldberg made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Goldberg was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Zach Itzkowitz was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Shlomo Blalock, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hillel Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aquinas Academy only posted a batting average of .150.

Hillel Academy now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Hillel Academy and Aquinas Academy will both be playing Summit Academy the next time they take the field. Hillel Academy will head out to face Summit Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, while Aquinas Academy will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
