Baseball Recap: Nacogdoches Takes a Loss

The matchup between Nacogdoches and Hallsville on Friday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Dragons came up short against the Bobcats, falling 18-11. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Nick Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Key, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Nacogdoches' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Hallsville, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Coincidentally, Nacogdoches and Hallsville will both be playing Texas the next time they take the field. The Dragons will head out to face the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
