The Lambert Longhorns will face off against the Alpharetta Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lambert is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27.8 points per game this season.

Lambert is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering North Atlanta just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 24-21.

Despite the loss, Lambert saw an underclassman step up: Josiah Saunders rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Saunders has become a key player for Lambert: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Lambert didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Christian Smith and Harrison Richards. A big part of Alpharetta's win came down to the chemistry between Palmer Mcraney and his top target Kevin Lipscomb. Mcraney threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes while Lipscomb picked up 129 receiving yards. Lipscomb's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.

Lambert's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Alpharetta, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
