The home team had won the previous three meetings between Continental and Edgerton, and Continental kept the tradition alive. The Pirates came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Continental had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-17.

Macie Clemens paced Continental's offense, picking up 17 kills. Clemens got some help from Kenzie Searfoss and her 18 assists. Clemens was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Continental's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Edgerton, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Continental wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Antwerp on the 29th. As for Edgerton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Gorham Fayette on the 29th.
