Helix never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Monte Vista Monarchs as they made off with a 20-0 victory. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Katelyn Woodland looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Naviah Conchas and LaNiah Broom did most of the damage at the plate: Conchas got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Broom went 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Farace, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Helix always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Helix has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Monte Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.
