Basketball Recap: San Carlos' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

San Carlos had won two straight games and Leandro Simbolo did his part to make it three on Friday. The San Carlos Braves snuck past the Agua Fria Owls with a 41-35 win thanks in part to Simbolo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.5 rebounds per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Talen Pechuli, who posted nine points and three steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

San Carlos' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Agua Fria, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

San Carlos wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 84-26 win against Greyhills Academy on the 13th. As for Agua Fria, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-42 victory against Hayden on the 13th.
