Football Recap: Riverwood Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Riverwood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They and the Centennial Knights were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Raiders suffered a 21-20 loss. The Raiders lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 40-14 score last time.

The critical scores for Centennial came from Jake Hickox, Brayden Roberson, and Kendall Bodwell.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverwood will welcome Chattahoochee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Centennial, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Duluth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
