Volleyball Recap: Barron Beats Ashland for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Barron waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Ashland Oredockers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Bears also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Barron was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-9, 25-17.

Leading Barron to victory were Hannah Coss and Xendra Jilek. Coss had nine digs and one assist, while Jilek had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Jilek has posted over her last 13 contests.

Barron's record is now 22-3. As for Ashland, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Barron is set to challenge their familiar foe Ladysmith at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ashland will take on rival Spooner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
