Dodgeville is 8-2 against Prairie du Chien since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Dodgers will venture away from home to face off against the Blackhawks at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Dodgeville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Belleville an 18-0 shutout on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Dodgers with their most commanding win of the season.

Ava Lord was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Dougherty, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Brienna Wasley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Dodgeville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Prairie du Chien waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Claire Kennedy made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Kennedy was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Prairie du Chien let Irelynd Cejka and Rita Achenbach run wild. Cejka went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Achenbach went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Dodgeville pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Prairie du Chien, their record now sits at 12-3.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dodgeville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Prairie du Chien struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dodgeville skirted past Prairie du Chien 11-9 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Dodgers repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
