Aledo came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Chisholm Trail Rangers a 17-0 shutout. Give the Bearcats' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.
TAYLOR MCKEAN was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). In other batting news, ADDIE PERRY was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. GRACIE JONES also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
