Baseball Recap: Bethesda Christian Has No Trouble Against Purdue Broad Ripple

Bethesda Christian's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx. Considering the Patriots have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Blake Lagle, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Bethesda Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bethesda Christian now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethesda Christian will face off against Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indy Genesis have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, they will square off against Union at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
