Basketball Recap: Jamisen Wilds' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lee Central over Great Falls

On Friday, the Lee Central Stallions ended up a good deal behind the Great Falls Red Devils and lost 63-49. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lee Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jamisen Wilds, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points. Wilds continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaquarius Davis, who posted eight points.

Even though they lost, Lee Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Lee Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Great Falls, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Lee Central and Hartsville will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Great Falls, they will take on Westminster Schools of Augusta at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Great Falls' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
