Basketball Recap: Neshoba Central Extends Home Winning Streak to 17

Neshoba Central had won 16 straight home games dating back to last season and Kyli Truss did her part to make it 17 on Friday. The Neshoba Central Rockets came out on top against the Madison Central Jaguars by a score of 56-45 thanks in part to Truss, who posted 21 points. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lailah Henry, who put up 11 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The win got Neshoba Central back to even at 6-6. As for Madison Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neshoba Central will venture away from home to challenge Choctaw Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Murrah at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
