Soccer Recap: Clinton Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clinton walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hernando Tigers a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. Kayla Jones had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Arrows.

Clinton pushed their record up to 14-4-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those ten matchups. As for Hernando, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7-1.

Clinton will venture away from home to face off against Oxford at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Oxford will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Clinton surely won't give up without a fight. Hernando does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
